We Need Writers!

Hi all,

We are looking for some professional writers to work with us on a project kicking off soon.

The criteria is pretty simple:

  • Professional writer with proven researching skills
  • A passion for at least one adventure sport/activity (which you could write about forever, and tend to go on holidays doing it!)

Initially the focus is ski, mountain bike, road bike, walking and trekking. Don’t let that limit you though, we want to hear from writers with a passion for adventure travel and all kinds of other activities.

If that sounds like you then please get in touch with alex@muchbetteradventures.com so we can tell you more about the plans.

Your portfolio and idea of rates would be useful – we’d like to be working with you on a freelance and ongoing basis.

Cheers

Alex

Sounds interesting. I write on all outdoor activities and travel – have a weekly column on activities in a national newspaper in Ireland and have been a regular contributor and columnist on travel and adventure pursuits for national press (and radio) in the UK and Ireland for twenty years. I wrote Paddle; A long way around Ireland, about kayaking the thousand miles around the Irish coastline which has been well reviewed and sells well. You can find a fair amount of my published work by googling “Jasper Winn.” Subjects i write about and have unique angles on include long walks in Ireland, the UK, Spain and many other countries, long distance travel by horse in more than twenty countries in five continents, kayak trips on rivers and sea and in cities, bike trips, cross-country skiing and diverse adventure pursuits including climbing, stand-up-paddle boarding, bird-watching, coastal sailing on traditional boats and bushcraft.
You mention rates (always a pleasing word for freelancers to read). What are your guidelines?
    Best,

    Jasper
