This is the first of a new series of articles intended to highlight good news or inspiring stories that have caught our eye during the month.

This week we came across a very cool charity called ‘Guy’s Trust’. Guy’s Trust was set up by friends and family in memory of Guy Joseph, who was tragically killed in a paragliding accident at the age of 25 last year.

The trust has been set up to continue supporting causes that Guy was passionate about and its first mission is the devepment of a childhood development centre in Nepal. The centre is being built with Action Aid and will help 150 of Nepal’s poorest children, who would otherwise have had no access to education.

As well as supporting education in Nepal, Guy’s Trust will also fund an annual award at Newcastle University for two undergraduates to work forMantaWatch, a marine conservation organization that Guy helped to set up in Indonesia.

We encourage you to learn more about Guy and this superb charity on Guy’s Trust’s Facebook Page and see how you can help his family and friends carry on the good work he started.
