At the start of May, Alex and his girlfriend Maya went for a week ski touring and camping high above Briancon in the Serre Chevalier valley. These 4 photos perfectly sum up what it is like ski touring in late spring….
1) It gets warm, so you have to start early, very early.
2) But the sunrise is well worth it.
3) Time it for just as the snow softens, and the ski downhill is awesome!
4) Unfortunately the bottoms of the valleys don’t always have snow on them this late in the season!
