Toti and Silvia got in touch recently to tell us about their idea of a muchbetter journey and we were immediately interested. It sounded like a pretty cool idea, so we are going to be enviouslyfollowing their progress as they report back to us from the road as muchbetter ambassadors.
The couple will live within the local communities to discover and learn the challenges of living in Costa Rica and will take part in many environmental projects. Among other things they will provide support for the protection of sea turtles, the research of endangered monkeys, and the preservation of some rare birds.
During their six months journey, they will share their skills and backgrounds with the local communities and the non-profit associations that will be hosting them. Silvia has a degree in tourism science and specializes in EcoTourism and Sustainable Tourism. Toti is specialized in Copywriting, Creative Communication and Marketing.
The journey was designed after countless hours of research and studies about the country and its sustainable tourism market. The whole trip has been designed to be extremely low cost and has avoided the use of travel agencies or international tour operators.
