Congratulations to Ed Stafford and Cho. Just completed walking 85km in 21 hours to leave the Amazon rainforest and turn up on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean.

The ‘impossible’ has been proved possible. These guys have just completed the first source to sea walk of the Amazon, and in doing so done a huge amount to raise it’s profile and issues of conservation. An unbelievable amount of people have been flooding their blog (which seems to be struggling to keep up with traffic) and facebook group with congratulations messages. Their adventure has certainly grabbed attention.Hard to imagine they have been walking in the Amazon since we first wrote about them months ago, even then they were already well into the journey.A true adventure with purpose there can be no doubt. We salute you! There will be a number of talks and events coming up – well worth a visit. The Royal Geographical Society in London are hosting ‘Walks on the Wild side’ on 11th November with Ed, Michael Palin and Ranulph Fiennes among others…
