Here is what they had to say:

‘We would delighted if you would join Upland Escapes Directors and staff on Sunday 11th April for a day oforganised walking around the lovely Gloucestershire village of Chedworth and some delicious Upland Escapes food inspired by our Upland Managers culinary skills. Chedworth is a very pretty collection of houses built of Cotswold limestone, along a tributary of the River Coln. In the woods behind the village is the famous Chedworth Roman Villa and in the village itself is an attractive parish church. In the morning, we walk through the village and up onto the wold above, passing the old WW2 airfield of RAF Chedworth, the Roman Villa and enjoying an attractive combination of Chedworth Woods and the upper Coln Valley.

In the afternoon we head downstream for a gentler stroll to Fossebridge, which is on the spot where the old roman road crosses the Coln, before heading back up the valley to tea. At lunch and tea, sample a feast of dishes inspired by our upland destinations, and there will also be a short presentation of whats new at Upland Escapes this year.

Numbers are limited, so we advise early booking, and all profits will be donated to the Chedworth Village Hall.We advise sturdy, waterproof footwear. Dogs on leads are welcome on walks, but not inside the village hall.
